The Digital Changemaker Course (DCM) is designed to equip you with a comprehensive understanding of digitisation, encompassing its economic, technical, and societal aspects. Our goal is to empower you with the necessary tools to identify and validate problems, develop solutions, test them with users, evaluate their potential, and present them convincingly.
Along with providing you a hands-on digitalisation experience, we aim to create value for SMEs, family companies and NGO´s. Therefore, each student will work in a group of 4-6 students on a real-life digitalisation project given by the project partner. A unique element of DCM is the integration of the ethical component of digitalisation. Each team is required to analyse the ethical implications of their proposed digitisation concepts, ensuring a responsible and sustainable approach to innovation.
To achieve these goals, we employ a variety of methods from different fields such as user research and design thinking, business planning, project management, and prototyping. Additionally, the teams are solely responsible for the professional interaction and communication with the project partner, developing their project management skills.
The teams are supported by coaching and weekly input workshops, organised by the CDTM. Progress is presented in two milestone presentations throughout the semester and a final presentation including all outcomes. The course can be structured into 3 phases that transition into each other.
The course lasts for 12 weeks with a total of 25 students taking part each batch. We offer a batch each semester.
